Deirdre Morhet
Deirdre Morhet, MBA, is the founder and principal of BASC Expertise, a business consulting and tax service company; established in the Phoenix area in 2004. BASC Expertise specializes in working with business owners with traditional needs such as bookkeeping and payroll as well as consults with small businesses regarding increasing revenue streams, cash flow analysis and tax planning.
Deirdre also focuses on consumer tax issues such as short sales and foreclosures, and debt forgiveness. She has a way of helping the small business owners understand how vital their company’s financial health is in order to help them prosper. Deirdre prides herself on having a nontraditional accounting firm; she wants her clients to always feel like they can come to her with any questions or concerns and feel like she always has their best interests at heart.
A former NASA engineer, Deirdre is married to Jeff and they have four children. She is passionate about her family and friends and in her spare time loves to spend as much time with them as possible.

Sarah Benard
Sarah Benard is BASC Expertise’s Office Manager extraordinaire. She comes to us with 10+ years of progressive office management experience in small businesses. Sarah always had an interest in accounting and loves the fast pace of tax season.
Sarah helps keep our office, and processes, organized and running like a well oiled machine. She is also our payroll guru. Nobody has customer rapport or can multi task like Sarah.
When Sarah is not at work, she is busy running after her twin boys! She enjoys volunteering at her children’s school, camping and spending time with her husband Casey, family and friends.

Jennifer Butera
Jennifer Butera graduated with a Bachelor in Arts degree, and also has two Associate's degrees. She has 13 years of experience in accounting, starting in the construction industry as a full-charge bookkeeper, and now operating as Senior Staff Accountant at BASC Expertise.
Jenn has a memory that never ceases to amaze her co-workers, remembering specific numbers and balances on financial statements. She is a whiz with numbers, having an uncanny ability to find number discrepancies in half the time it would take the average person. She is also our resident QuickBooks expert.
Jenn spends most of her free time skydiving, and she will soon embark on training for competitions. She is also mother to two multi-talented cats, Maverick and Izzie.
